Davis Survives His All-in Versus Norton

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

The hand was discovered on a board of {8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and Chad Norton having shoved all-in for around 1,600,000 effective. Gene Davis tanked for a few, but eventually opted to make the call, and his tournament life was at risk.

"Good call", said Norton, as the cards were turned face-up.

It was a good call indeed as Davis held {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a pair of queens and a heart flush draw against the {k-Spades}{9-Clubs} for king-high held by Davis.

The river card was a {q-Diamonds} and improved the winning hand to trip queens for Davis, and he survived his all-in chipped up to a solid 4,350,000 chips.
