Howard Holds, Scores A Triple

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Taylor Howard moved all-in from early position for 168,000 and Steve Karp called barely covering Howard. The action then folded to Koveh Waysei in the big blind who had both players covered. Waysei went into the tank eventually making the decision that there was too much money in the pot and that his hand was too good not to call. They went three-ways to the flop with tabled hands.

Taylor Howard: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Steve Karp: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Koveh Waysei: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Howard's ace-king high was good enough for a triple up putting a dent in Waysei's stack as well as leaving Karp short.
