Hazan Doubles Twice Through Leng for Chip Lead

Level 35 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Mordechai Hazan
Mordechai Hazan

On the first hand, Ryan Leng looked to have raised enough from the small blind for Mordechai Hazan to call for his last 6,500,000 from the big blind.

Mordechai Hazan: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Ryan Leng: {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for Leng to flop a pair but not get any further help on the turn nor river so Hazan doubled up.

A hand later, Leng raised to 1,200,000 from the button and Hazan shoved again, this time for 13,500,000 from the small blind. Jaesh Balachandran tanked for a while from the big blind but opted to fold. Leng called again.

Mordechai Hazan: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Ryan Leng: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for Hazan to now flop a pair of queens and hold to double up to the chip lead.
