Pietsch Wins Big One From Monnette

Level 16

Seven Card Stud

Christine Pietsch: {x-}{x-}/{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs}/{x-}
John Monnette: {x-}{x-}/{4-Spades}{10-Spades}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}/{x-}

Christine Pietsch bet on fourth street and John Monnette called. Monnette took the lead on fifth street, then bet again on sixth.

Pietsch came back with a raise and Monnette called. Pietsch bet again on seventh street, sending Monnette into the tank. The four-time WSOP bracelet winner considered the decision for about two minutes before throwing in a call.

"I have a straight," Pietsch said as she showed Monnette {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Monnette mucked, sending the big pot to Pietsch.
