Hawkins on Fumes

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Down to his 730,000, Maurice Hawkins defended his big blind from a 230,000 raise on the button by Guowei Zhang.

The players checked the {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}{k-Spades} flop, and then on the {4-Spades} turn, Hawkins flicked out 100,000, leaving himself just 400,000 behind.

Zhang moved all-in, and Hawkins went into the tank.

"The definition of greatness is being able to do things no one else is able to do" said Hawkins, before showing {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, then throwing the cards into the muck to preserve his last 3 big blnds.

Evan Sandberg
Evan Sandberg

Evan Sandberg moved all-in for approximately 1,400,000 from the hijack. Dalibor Dula moved all-in over top from the small blind, and the big blind folded.

Evan Sandberg: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Dalibor Dula: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, as Dula flopped top pair, then faded Sandberg's gutshot straight draw on the turn.

Dula now has almost 3,000,000 as the players move to the unofficial final table.

Coleman Doubles Through Klump Again on the River

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Maxx Coleman
Maxx Coleman

Levi Klump and Maxx Coleman tangled again, with all of Coleman's chips at risk preflop needing some help.

Maxx Coleman {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Levi Klump {q-}{q-}

The flop of {j-}{9-}{7-} gave Coleman a pair, but he was still trailing Klump's pocket queens. The river {j-} saved Coleman, doubling his stack and leaving Klump short.

Axel Reese

Axel Reese raised to 230,000 in the cutoff and was called by Levi Klump in the big blind.

Klump checked the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop, and Reese continued for 250,000.

Klump responded with a check-raise to 650,000 that Reese moved all-in over for a little under a million more. Klump called.

Axel Reese: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Levi Klump: {q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Klump just needed to fade a two-outer, and did so with the {2-Hearts} turn and {5-Spades} river.

Fabian Bernhauser
Fabian Bernhauser

Fabian Bernhauser moved all in with {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, and was called by the shorter stack of Nicolo Audannio who tabled {10-}{10-}. The runout of {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{10-Spades} doubled up Audannio, leaving Bernhauser with crumbs.

On the very next hand, Bernhauser was at risk holding {q-}{j-}, facing Dalibor Dula's {a-}{4-}. Dula hit the flop of {a-}{6-}{3-}, and the river {2-} and turn {7-} ended Bernhauser's tournament in 13th place.

Richard Talerico moved all-in for 1,050,000 in early position and was called by Levi Klump in the blinds.

Richard Talerico: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Levi Klump: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
