Silver Starts to Pull Away

Level 21 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

John Monnette raised it up from the small blind and Nate Silver called from the big blind. The flop came {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Monnette led out with a bet. Silver raised only to have Monnette three-bet. Silver called and the {5-Clubs} paired the board on the turn.

Monnette continued firing away with another bet and Silver stuck around for the {q-Spades} on the river. Monnette unleashed another bullet but couldn't shake Silver who called again. Monnette showed {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a missed straight draw while Silver held {8-Spades}{6-Hearts} for two pair.
