Welcome to Day 3 of Event #15: $1,500 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em.
The final day is set to begin today at 12 p.m. local time in the Amazon room at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. There are eight remaining players and they will play until there is one person standing with each player is guaranteed a payout of $28,782. They will be battling for the first-place prize of $313,403 and the highly desired World Series of Poker gold bracelet.
On Day 1, there was a total of 1,450 entries and featured huge names in the poker world such as Ryan Riess, Jeff Gross, Kitty Kuo, Adrian Mateos, Jason Somerville, Vanessa Kade, and Kevin Martin. There were 218 players to cash but only 96 of them bagged chips for Day 2.
On Day 2 they started with 96 players and 12 hours later only eight remained. Jeremy Malod had the chip lead at the end of the night when he eliminated two players back-to-back.
Day 3 is guaranteed to be an exciting one, Malod (7,570,000) leads the remaining players with 76 big blinds and Jon Baylor (2,130,000) is the short stack with 21 big blinds. All eight players have plenty of room to play and it is anyone’s game as they say. There will be an unofficial final table redraw at seven players, after just one elimination. Based on the solid play seen yesterday, today is anticipated to go for several hours until a winner is crowned.
They will play 60-minute levels with a 15-minute break every two levels. The dinner break is to be determined. They are starting at level 28 at 50,000/100,000 blinds and 100,000 big blind ante.
