Event #1: $500 NLH Keystone Kickoff Concludes This Evening; First WSOP Gold Bracelet to Be Awarded in Pennsylvania
Today marks a historic day for poker in the state of Pennsylvania, as the first-ever WSOP.com Pennsylvania Gold Bracelet will be awarded to the winner of Event #1: $500 NLH Keystone Kickoff. Three Day 1 flights saw a total of 425 players and 75 rebuys, for a total of 500 entries seeking a trip to Day 2. Only 148 players were able to navigate their way to Day 2, with "ratriver" returning as the overall chip leader, with a stack of 156,090, or just over 78 big blinds, to wield on their quest for WSOP gold. Rounding out the top 3 are Day 1c chip leader "McEye" (149,455) and "LavaCake" (138,511).
Other notables that will be returning today include Thomas "FullMetalPKR" Parkes (52,815), Simon "SaltySleevy" Levy (37,286), Barrett "Soil_Brunson" Lipkin (35,515), and Aubrey "R1V3RM3DADDY" Williams (30,722).
The field will be returning to action at Level 18 (1,000/2,000/250) at 5:30 p.m. EST, and the level length will be increased to 15-minutes in duration for the remainder of the tournament. Of the returning 148 players, only 90 are slated to walk away with a piece of the $225,000 prize pool. Full payout information is still currently unknown on the WSOP.com client, but the top three positions currently listed show a top prize of $48,420, along with the first-ever WSOP.com Pennsylvania Gold Bracelet, while second and third place will earn $29,992.50 and $20,655, respectively.
