Who Will Reach the Final Table in Event #70: $25,000 NLH POKER PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP?
One of the pinnacle events of the 2020 GGPoker World Series of Poker Online Bracelet Events is slated to kick off at 2 p.m. EST (6 p.m. GMT). The highly anticipated Event #70: $25,000 NLH POKER PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP is certain to attract the biggest names in the online and live poker scene, who will battle in the most-expensive buy-in of the schedule for huge prizes and the WSOP online bracelet.
Not to be confused with the live edition from Las Vegas - the highest-stakes mixed-games event and one of the most-prestigious live events of the entire year - the first-ever online edition will only be played in No Limit Hold'em and has a guaranteed prize pool of $10 million.
All participants receive 100,000 in chips, which represents 200 big blinds in the first level at 250-500 and a running ante of 60. The levels last 15 minutes each throughout the entire day. The eight-handed tournament will feature a late registration of four and a half hours, and during the same period all players can also re-enter a maximum of two times if they wish to do so after running out of chips.
One and a half hours prior to the start, more than 100 players were already registered including the GGPoker ambassadors Fedor Holz, Felipe Ramos and Daniel Negreanu. The remaining list of entrants includes such big names as Ryan Riess, Scott Margereson, Alex Foxen, Niklas Astedt, Dominik Nitsche, Ali Imsirovic, Dan Smith, Adrian Mateos, Conor Beresford, the online streamers Benjamin Rolle, Kevin Martin and Parker Talbot, Kristen Bicknell and Jon Van Fleet to name just a few.
Day 1 of this prestigious event will burst the money bubble and continue from there to play down to the nine-handed final table, at which time the tournament is paused. Six days later on Saturday, August 29th, 2020, the final nine will return to their seats as of 6 p.m. GMT to play down to a champion. The final table will be broadcast on GGPoker.TV with cards-up coverage and commentary.
