Hands #37-39: Soverel Doubles Through Tang

Level 24 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Sam Soverel
Sam Soverel

Hand #37: Danny Tang raised to 1,930,000 from the small blind and Sam Soverel called all in from the big blind for 1,680,000.

Soverel: {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Tang: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Soverel was in the lead with his two Broadway cards, and when the dealer spread the {9-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop, he improved to a pair as Tang held a gutshot straight draw.

The turn landed the {6-Hearts} to now give Tang a double gutshot, as he needed a jack or seven to eliminate Soverel.

The {8-Clubs} completed the board on the river, however, and Soverel secured the double to over four million in chips.

Hand #38: Brandon Adams raised to 500,000 from under the gun and Sam Soverel moved all in for 4,100,000 from the small blind. Adams folded.

Hand #39: Danny Tang raised to 500,000 from the cutoff and Brandon Adams three-bet to 1,700,000 from the big blind. Tang folded.
