Mornel Doubles Through Filatov

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Anatoly Filatov limped and called a shove from Rami Mornel for 775,000.

Anatoly Filatov: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Rami Mornel: {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Filatov was in front but a jack in the window of a {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop left Mornel poised to double up. The turn {6-Diamonds} and river {j-Hearts} could not help Filatov and Mornel doubled up.

Samuel Ganzfried Eliminated in 12th Place ($31,448)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Samuel Ganzfried
Samuel Ganzfried

Samuel Ganzfried limped in the small blind off a stack of around 400,000 and Phil Hellmuth shoved in the big blind. Ganzfried snap-called with {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and was way ahead of the {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds} of Hellmuth.

The flop came {j-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} giving very little help to Hellmuth. The turn {6-Hearts} gave him outs to a gutshot, and he hit the {4-Diamonds} on the river to send Ganzfried to the rail.

"Good trap," said Hellmuth. "Sorry about that."

Ganzfried Triples Up

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

David "ODB" Baker raised to 125,000 from the hijack and Samuel Ganzfried shoved in the small blind. Phil Hellmuth called in the big blind and Baker asked for a count. The dealer confirmed Ganzfried had 210,000 in total and Baker went along.

Both Hellmuth and Baker checked through the {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop to the {4-Hearts} on the turn. Hellmuth bet 90,000 and Baker folded reluctantly after taking a few seconds. Hellmuth tabled {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for the two pair on the board with the ace -kicker while Ganzfried held {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for the full house.

The river completed the board with the {2-Clubs} for Ganzfried to secure the triple-up and stay alive.
