Robinson Doubles Through Trofimov

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jerry Robinson moved all in for 505,000 and was looked up by Dragos Trofimov in the small blind.

Jerry Robinson: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Dragos Trofimov: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The first card out on the {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} flop was an ace and Robinson had it locked up on the {10-Diamonds} turn, with the {q-Clubs} making no difference and Trofimov and Robinson have swapped places in the counts.

Anderson Takes a Hit From Yea

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

It was all going so well for Kyle Anderson but he has come unstuck after a run of cards that have not worked out in his favor. Just now it folded round to Steve Yea who moved all in for 700,000 on the button and Kyle Anderson was in the big blind and woke up with a hand good enough to call.

Steve Yea: {7-Spades}{4-Spades}
Kyle Anderson: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop connected for both players but Anderson moved a little further into the lead at this point. The {4-Diamonds} turn gave Yea trips and with no ace on the {8-Spades} river, Anderson had to count out the chips to hand over.

Johnson Dispatches Perry

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Adam Johnson moved all in for 100,000 from late position and Ralph Perry hit the tank in the big blind. He didn't have much back and opted to call it off.

Johnson: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Perry: {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Johnson was well out in front and his kicker made the difference after the board ran out {3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}. With that, Perry headed for the payout desk.

Reels Loses a Small One Then Wins a Big One

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

In the first hand Jason Reels raised it to 125,000 and Ralph Perry moved all in. With action back on Reels he asked for an exact count. The dealer confirmed 780,000 total, which sent Reels into the tank for over a minute before he flashed the {a-Hearts} and folded.

Two hands later the under-the-gun player raised it to 125,000 and Ralph Perry again three-bet shoved all in. Action folded around to Reels in the big blind, he four-bet shoved for less and the original raiser folded.

Ralph Perry: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Jason Reels: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The {j-Spades}{4-Spades}{q-Diamonds} was an action flop for both players, with Perry flopping top set and Reels flopping the nutflush draw. The {k-Clubs} turn gave Reels additional outs to the Broadway straight and the {10-Clubs} was one of those outs, which sent the huge pot to Reels and left Perry with just 250,000.

Day 1a chipleader Roman Korenev has just taken a nice pot after moving all in for 615,000 over a cutoff open to 110,000 from Sohale Khalili and a button flat by Carlos Chang. Neither player made the call and Korenev pulls back some of the chips he's lost over the course of the day so far.

Khalili Doubles Up and Not Once, But Twice

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

In the first hand, Sohale Khalili moved all in from under-the-gun for his last 65,000, and when action got to Gabriel Andrade in late position he three-bet to175,000 to isolate and the remaining players got out of the way.

Sohale Khalili: {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Gabriel Andrade: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Khalili was behind but had two live cards and hit one on the river on the {10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} runout. Andrade was left short and was eliminated two hands later.

In the second hand, action folded to Jared Kwong in the small blind and he shoved all in. Khalili made the call and was again all in for his tournament life, only that time he was ahead and needed his hand to hold.

Sohale Khalili: {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Jared Kwong: {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}, which paired Khalili's queen on the turn and secured his second-straight double-up.
