Hachem Three-Quarters Strebkov

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante
Denis Strebkov
Denis Strebkov

Denis Strebkov opened to 180,000 from the cutoff and Brian Hastings three-bet to the size of the pot, 660,000 from the button. Nick Schulman folded in the small blind and Joe Hachem went into the tank for before deciding to call from the big blind. Strebkov called and the three went heads up to the {4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop. Hachem was first to act and shoved his last 705,000 into the pot. Strebkov shoved over the top for 1.17 million and Hastings quickly folded.

Denis Strebkov: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Joe Hachem: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

Hachem was in commanding shape to earn three-quarters of the pot after flopping a six high straight with the nut low to Strebkov's top pair, top kicker with the same nut low. The turn and river fell {7-Spades}{4-Spades} and the landscape remained unchanged as Hachem took three-quarters of the pot, adding to his stack significantly.
