Anatolii Zyrin raised and Yueqi Zhu called to see a {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, on which Zhu bet and Zyrin called. Zhu bet again the {2-Diamonds} turn and the {j-Clubs} river, and Zyrin called both times.

Zhu rolled over {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for a missed low and Zyrin scooped the pot with {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} for trips deuces.

The turn came {j-Diamonds} and Van Alstyne checked. Zyrin bet and Van Alstyne had fewer than two big bets behind. He thought for a moment and then pushed forward all his remaining chips. Zyrin immediately called.

Van Alstyne held {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} but he found the bad news as Zyrin opened {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a superior flush draw and a higher pair.

The {7-Spades} river gave both players the flush and Van Alstyne was eliminated in 3rd place, paving the way for a heads-up match between Zyrin and Yueqi Zhu.
