Rechnitzer Gets Fold on River

Level 22 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Gerard Rechnitzer
Gerard Rechnitzer

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Action was folded around to Gerard Rechnitzer in the small blind, who raised. Andrey Zaichenko defended his big blind and the flop came {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}. Rechnitzer made a continuation-bet and Zaichenko called. The turn was {a-Diamonds} and Rechnitzer fired again. Zaichenko peeled once more and the river came {j-Hearts}. Rechnitzer emptied the clip and it was enough to get Zaichenko to fold as he took down the sizeable pot without a showdown.

Alex Livingston: {x-}{x-} / {4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{j-Clubs} / {x-}

Two bets were put in before the flop with Livingston adding the final raise. Andrey Zaichenko had also put in one bet before folding to Livingston's raise. After Ratigan called the second bet, he check-called on all remaining streets.

Upon tossing in chips to call on seventh street, Ratigan asked Livingston, "What, are you rolled up?"

Livingston confirmed and tabled {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for a set of fours and took down the pot as Ratigan mucked.

Carlos Rodriguez
Carlos Rodriguez

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Carlos Rodriguez completed with a six and Andrey Zaichenko raised. Rodriguez announced all in as he put the rest of his chips into the middle and Zaichenko called. Each player's cards were turned over and the remaining cards in the hand were dealt.

Carlos Rodriguez: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Andrey Zaichenko: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

Rodriguez ended up hitting three pairs with his seven cards, finishing the hand with the better two of them, kings and jacks. However, it was unable to best Zaichenko's aces up and he was eliminated from the tournament.

With Rodriguez' elimination, the unofficial final table of nine has been reached. Players are currently redrawing for seats and more information and chip counts will be provided shortly.
