Hennigan Takes A Few

Level 21 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu was the bring in and John Hennigan completed. Negreanu defended and bet out on fourth street. Hennigan raised and Negreanu called. Both players checked fifth street and Hennigan led with a bet on sixth street. Negreanu called and both players checked to showdown on seventh street.

Daniel Negreanu: {x-}{x-} / {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} / {x-}
John Hennigan: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} / {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Both players had a pair of sevens at showdown but Hennigan's ace kicker was good to take down the pot.

On the next hand, Hennigan was the bring in with {2-Diamonds}. Negreanu completed and Hennigan called. Negreanu bet fourth and fifth, receiving calls on both streets. Hennigan then led on sixth and Negreanu folded.

Daniel Negreanu: {x-}{x-} / {5-Spades}{k-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds} (folded on sixth)
Hennigan: {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{2-Spades}

With these pots, Hennigan now finds himself at the two-million mark carrying some momentum towards climbing back to even stacks.
