Welcome to the Final Day of Event #39: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold’em!

A tournament that was scheduled for three days has completed three days of play without a winner being decided. A total of 2,650 players entered Event #39: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold’em with the hope of being crowned the Super Seniors champion and when play finished at the end of Day 3, there were only 10 players who still had that hope.

Of those 10 players, Michael Blake enters the day as the chip leader. He is sat behind 12,300,000 chips and Blake enters the day with a 77 big-blind stack and a commanding chip lead. Kanajett Hathaitham is in second place with 9,235,000 and Rick Austin is the only other player with over six million, rounding out the top three with a stack of 6,475,000. Everyone else has less than half the chip leader's pile, so will have work to do to keep in touch with the current leader.

Perhaps the most recognizable name left in the field is two-time WSOP bracelet winner Barry Shulman (2,665,000), who will begin play as one of the three shortest stacks in the field with only around 17 big blinds in his stack to start the day. Should Schulman double-up, he'll be a danger to the rest of the field, but he needs that boost to his stack first.

Cards are scheduled to be in the air at 11 a.m. local time with blinds returning to 80,000/160,000 with a 160,000 big blind ante. Levels will last one hour each with 15-minute breaks at the conclusion of every two levels. Play will occur until a winner has been decided and PokerNews will be covering hand-for-hand action every step of the way. Make sure to stick around and see who will triumph as they race to the bracelet.
