Guillen Doubles Through De Silva

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Angel Guillen
Angel Guillen

Angel Guillen got his last 620,000 in preflop and was in good shape holding {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} against the {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} of Upeshka De Silva. The {3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} brought a sweat in the form of a gutshot but the {7-Clubs} river was safe for a Guillen double.

Cazayous Wins Three-Bet Pot

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Thomas Cazayous opened for 80,000 first to act and called a three-bet to 245,000 from small blind Kyle Cartwright. Both players checked the flop and turn for a board of {10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Cartwright bet 190,000 and Cazayous thought briefly and called.

Cartwright showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} but lost showdown to {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

De Silva Wins Huge Three-Way Pot

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Upeshka De Silva
Upeshka De Silva

Angel Guillen raised to 90,000 on the button, and was called by Nicholas Howard in the small blind and Upeshka De Silva in the big blind.

Howard led out for 110,000 on the {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop, and both De Silva and Guillen called.

All three players checked the {9-Diamonds} turn, and Howard checked the {6-Hearts} river. De Silva bet 495,000, and Guillen thought for a moment before calling. Howard quickly called as well, and De Silva flipped up {8-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a flopped full house. Both of his opponents mucked.

"Good flop, good river, nice hand!" Wojtek Barzantny told De Silva as he stacked up his new chips.

Nicholas Howard opened for 95,000 first to act and called a three-bet to 265,000 from Upeshka De Silva on his left. Howard check-called 145,000 on the {2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop. Both players checked the {7-Spades} and the {q-Clubs}. Howard turned over {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} for the winner.

Demosthenes Kiriopoulos Eliminated in 9th Place ($31,595)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Demosthenes Kiriopoulos
Demosthenes Kiriopoulos

Kyle Cartwright jammed the button to put the blinds at risk, and Demosthenes Kiriopoulos obliged with a call for his last 475,000.

Demosthenes Kiriopoulos: {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Kyle Cartwright: {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}

Kiriopoulos paired his kicker on the {3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop, but Cartwright still had a gutshot as well as a backdoor nut flush draw. The {6-Clubs} turn opened up a host of outs for Cartwright, and the {4-Clubs} river gave Cartwright an ace-high flush and sent Kiriopoulos to the rail.

Jonathan Proudfoot Eliminated in 10th Place ($31,595)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jonathan Proudfoot
Jonathan Proudfoot

Jonathan Proudfoot limped in from the cutoff, and Upeshka De Silva raised to 195,000 on the button. Proudfoot limp-jammed, and Upeshka said, "Can I get an exact count?"

The dealer cut out and confirmed that Proudfoot had 985,000 remaining in his stack, and De Silva said, "Okay," and placed a stack of chips in the pot to call.

Jonathan Proudfoot: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Upeshka De Silva: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

De Silva paired his ace on the {6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop, but Proudfoot was still live with a gutshot. No jack would fall on the {5-Clubs} turn, and Proudfoot was eliminated after the {k-Hearts} fell on the river.

Guillen Rips on Howard

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Angel Guillen called on the button and Nicholas Howard made it 170,000 in the small blind. Guillen peeled and {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs} flopped. Howard slowed down with a check and then called 125,000. On the {j-Spades} turn, Guillen shoved all in. Howard went into the tank for about a minute then flicked his cards in.

"Vamo!" came a call from the rail.

Cazayous Catches Cartwright Bluffing

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Kyle Cartwright raised to 80,000 from the cutoff, and Thomas Cazayous called in the big blind.

Cazayous check-called a bet of 60,000 on the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop, and both players checked the {a-Hearts} turn.

On the {8-Hearts} river, Cazayous checked, and Cartwright bet 120,000. Cazayous thought briefly, then called, and after Cartwright tabled {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, Cazayous showed the winner with his {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.
