Karandeyev Chops to Stay Alive

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 700 ante

Jeffrey Sigmund: {x-}{x-}/{q-Clubs}(folded on third street)
Cory Chaput: {x-}{x-}/{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} (folded on fourth street)
Josh Damm: {x-}{x-}/{k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{j-Spades}{k-Hearts}/{x-}
Maksim Karandeyev: {x-}{x-}/{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{a-Clubs}/{x-}

Karandeyev brought it in, and Sigmund completed. Chaput called, and Damm made it two bets. Karandeyev called, Sigmund got out of the way, and Chaput called. On fourth, Damm bet, Karandeyev got his last 5,700 in, and after Chaput folded, Damm called.

Damm turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for a pair of kings, while Karandeyev had {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a pair of sixes and three pieces to a low. Damm received the {j-Spades}, {k-Hearts}, and {a-Hearts} in order, ending up with trip kings, while Karandeyev got the {8-Hearts}, {a-Clubs}, and {3-Spades} for an eight-low, and they chopped the pot.
