Day 2 of Event #20: $1,500 Seven-Card Stud Begins at 2 p.m.
Day 2 of Event #20: $1,500 Seven-Card Stud sees 103 players return out of a total field of 285. Just under half will be paid, with 43 players guaranteed a payout from the $384,750 prize pool. The winner, who will claim the first Stud bracelet of the 2019 WSOP and $93,766, will have to fight through a highly-decorated field of veterans of this game variant for three more days.
Starting today in the top ten stack-wise are David Singer (69,000) Daniel Negreanu (56,900), Julien Martini (56,100) and Perry Friedman (54,400), all of whom already hold at least one WSOP bracelet. Last year’s runner-up Jeff Lisandro is still in the running, as are Rep Porter, Scott Seiver, Dan Heimiller, Chris Ferguson (fourth in this event last year), Eli Elezra and Barbara Enright.
Ten one-hour levels are scheduled for today; live reporting recommences with the action at 2.00 p.m.
