Richard Hasnip the Leader as Event #16 $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Day 2 Begins
Welcome to Day 2 of Event #16 1,500 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed. Day 1 of the tournament drew in a total of 1,832 players, but only 289 of them will be returning for Day 2. It won't take very long for players to reach the money, with just 15 needed to bust and prompt the remaining 272 to be paid with the minimum cash of $2,252. The first-place finisher will be taking home $407,739 in addition to a WSOP gold bracelet.
Leading the field of play today is chip leader Richard Hasnip of the United Kingdom who bagged up an impressive 559,000 chips at the end of Day 1. Haslip who jumped straight into this event after he cashed for $22,57 for his 210th place finish in the $600 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack event yesterday, will still have a long day ahead of him as there are many healthy stacks including those belonging to Bruce Uselman (490,000), Johan Guilbert (476,000), Alex Lee Xiang Wie (475,000), Uri Reichenstein(424,000), Linglin Zeng (419,5000).
Day 1 drew in many of the top poker pros and there are still quite a few big names that remain including David Benyamine (316,500), 2018 WSOP player of the year Shaun Deeb (269,500), four-time WSOP bracelet winner Jeff Madsen (264,000), and WSOP bracelet winner Ryan Leng (202,500).
