Kelsall's River Check-Raise Gets Paid

Picking up the action on the river, the board was and Andrew Kelsall was first to act against one opponent. The player took a second then bet 10,000 into a pot of roughly 30,000. Kelsall then check-raised, making it 60,000, or enough to put his opponent all in.
The player thought it over for a bit, but eventually decided to call. Kelsall then showed his for the nut straight and it would earn him the pot.
After the hand, a few players at the table commended Kelsall's ability to get paid with his river check-raises.
"That's all you gotta do," Kelsall said. "You show nine high one time and then you get paid whenever you have it."
