There's Always Next Year for Brenes
Level 9
: 600/1,200, 200 ante
After a series of preflop raises, three players tabled their cards and Humberto Brenes was at risk. Brenes was on the short stack with around 36,000, Leo Kaplin was all in for around 65,000, and Christopher Chaudey had them both covered.

They were three monster hands and Brenes was looking for a triple-up. However, the flop came and Kaplin took the lead with a set of queens. The on the turn and the on the river were of no help to either player. Brenes was eliminated and Kaplin took down a healthy pot.
The cameras were rolling and Brenes made sure to wave goodbye to everyone watching. "See you again next year," he said as he exited the Brasilia room.
