Frank Flowers
Frank Flowers

Frank Flowers moved in with {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for his last 500,000 and was called by Harald Sammer with {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

By the time the full board had been dealt, what was left of Flowers' stack had been taken by the Austrian, and the remaining 18 players are now redrawing around two tables.

Darryl Woodruff opened from the cutoff to 275,000 and Colin McHugh defended his big blind.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and McHugh check-called a bet of 400,000 from Woodruff. The pair checked the {j-Hearts} turn and the river was the {q-Diamonds}.

McHugh checked and Woodruff moved all in for 1,300,000. McHugh called with {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a two pair, sevens and jacks, and Woodruff showed {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for the bluff and was eliminated.

Chong Secures Sick Double Through Flowers

Level 32 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
Chris Chong
Chris Chong

Chris Chong limped in the small blind and Frank Flowers checked his option.

Chong bet 120,000 on the {3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop and Flowers raised to 700,000. Chong peered across the dealer at Flowers' stack.

"You will never get this, you will never get this," said Flowers, doing an impression of Borat. "I win this tournament if I win this hand."

"I'm all in," said Chong.

"I call," said Flowers instantly.

Chris Chong: {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Frank Flowers: {j-Spades}{3-Spades}

"That's what you do!" said Flowers, "You get 'em thinking! You get 'em thinking!"

The turn was the {8-Hearts} giving Chong a better two pair and the river was the {7-Spades}. Chong doubled up his 3,675,000 stack and Flowers was left with just 200,000.

Rusnak's Aces Hold for a Double-Up

Level 32 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Frank Flowers opened to 300,000 from early position and Francis Rusnak three-bet shoved all in for 1,185,000 on the button. The action was back on Flowers who decided to give Rusnak some action with {8-Spades}{7-Spades}. Unfortunately for him, Rusnak turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and was well out front.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} giving Flowers a flush draw that he was sure he was going to hit. "Sorry man," he said from across the table. "Right on the turn. You're gonna be drawing dead."

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and Rusnak was still out front with his pair of aces. The river brought the {4-Hearts} and Flowers looked as surprised as anyone to see that he missed his flush draw. Rusnak scored a double-up to keep his tournament hopes alive.

Level 32 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
Raj Singh
Raj Singh

The action folded around to Raj Singh in the small blind who had been sitting on a short stack for some time. Singh pushed all in for 1,390,000 and Jimmy Chen asked for a count in the big blind. Chen thought for a moment and then made the call to find out he was slightly in the lead.

Jimmy Chen: {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Raj Singh: {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Chen's ace-high proved to be enough, sending Singh to the payout desk in 21st place.
