Bohlman Crushes the Flop, Ends Up Painfully Calling to Chop

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 5,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Scott Bohlman raised the button to 25,000 and both of his opponents called. Daniel Weinman checked the {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop and Ryan Hughes took the betting lead, firing 50,000. Only Bohlman called and the {4-Spades} turn hit the felt.

Two checks followed and the {A-Clubs} river brought a wheel on the board. Hughes used it to blast and moved all in for 220,000, just over the size of the pot.

Bohlman took over a minute, thinking whether to call when he could only chop. Eventually, he did make the call and revealed that he had flopped it with {A-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. While the runout was harsh, Bohlman was at least relieved when Hughes opened his hand, which was the {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and both players split the pot.
