Martini Rising Up
In two hands, Julien Martini worked his way back up from short stack to a very playable amount. In the first hand, Kate Hoang raised on the button and Martini defended his big blind. The flop was 
and Martini check-raised a bet from Hoang, who called.

turn, Martini shoved the rest of his stack and Hoang called.

Martini was ahead with a set of fives but needed to dodge straight- and low draws from Hoang in order to win it all. The river was a paint card and Martini doubled up.
Shortly after, Martini was involved in three-way action against Rafael Concepcion and Tammer Ilcaffas. On the 
flop, Martini and Concepcion checked to Ilcaffas, who bet. Martini check-raised, Concepcion cold-called and Ilcaffas called as well.
Martini bet the 
turn and received two swift calls. On the 
river, Martini thought a bit before betting. Concepcion thought over half a minute before calling, and Ilcaffas overcalled again.
Martini showed 
to win the high hand with a set of queens. Concepcion rolled over 
for the second nut low, and Ilcaffas mucked.
"Wow, I almost folded that sh*t," Concepcion yelled after the hand.
