Adams Gives Up Three-Quarters, Then Gets Some Back

Level 23 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Big-O

Jason Adams raised pot preflop and Ryan Hughes called in the big blind before calling the rest on the {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop.

Adams: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Hughes: {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Adams was in a good mood, knowing he was ahead, but the {5-Diamonds} turn and {9-Spades} river gave three-quarters of the pot to Hughes.

Adams was down to just 25,000 or so, but he managed to climb a little bit after he got it in preflop against Carol Fuchs and Robert Mizrachi. Fuchs isolated on the {6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop and Mizrachi folded aces face up.

Fuchs: {4-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Adams: {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Both players had a straight and nut low but Adams had the nut-nut. The {6-Spades} and {Q-Clubs} runout allowed him to scoop three-quarters of the pot.
