Monnette Earns a Near Double, Vitch Gets a Full One

Level 14 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Shaun Deeb raised from the small blind and John Monnette called from the big.

Deeb took three on the first draw while Monnette took two. Deeb then bet and Monnette called.

On the second draw, Deeb took one while Monnette took two again. Deeb then bet and Monnette called.

Deeb stood pat on the final draw while Monnette took one again. Deeb bet. Monnette thought for a bit, then raised, leaving himself with just 5,000 behind and Deeb dropped into the tank.

"Are you gonna do that to me again where you show me a bluff in a sick spot?" Deeb asked Monnette. "Just set me off?"

Monnette stayed silent while Deeb pondered over the decision. Eventually, Deeb decided to fold and Monnette raked in the pot with no showdown.

On the table just next to this, Chris Vitch doubled up holding {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the nuts against Aaron Katz's {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the second nuts.
