Ausmus Makes Tough Laydown

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Arturo Alaniz raised it up to 12,000 from the hijack and Jeremy Ausmus called from the small blind. The flop came {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and both players checked to the {8-Spades} on the turn.

Ausmus led out for 20,000 and Alaniz announced all in for 112,500. Ausmus asked for a count and then counted his own stack. After realizing the bet was for the majority of his own chips, Ausmus decided to fold his hand, flashing the {a-Hearts} in the process.
