Monster Pot First Hand After Dinner

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,500 ante
Mike Wattel
Mike Wattel

Max Kruse started the betting that quickly escalated into a monster pot. After Kruse opened, a three-bet by Mike Wattel followed by a four-bet shove from Timothy McDermott, quickly got Kruse out of the way and Wattel called it off to create a pot of around 430,000.

Both players stood pat and Wattel's {9-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} slightly edged McDermott's {9-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-} to rocket Wattel up the counts and leave McDermott with less than one big blind, which Wattel came back for on the very next hand.
