On the first day of the 2018 World Series of Poker, a WSOP gold bracelet will be up for grabs right away! At 3 p.m. local time, cards go in the air in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino for the first open tournament of the series, Event #2: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em.
This is one of the new events on the 2018 WSOP calendar. With levels of just 20 minutes, action is expected to move quickly throughout, with players encouraged to gamble it up even further with a spicy $3,000 bounty awarded for each takedown. All players will receive 50,000 in chips to start, blinds will kick off at 100/200 and late registration is open for 12 levels, which is until about 7:40 p.m. local time.
While it's up in the air what the field size will be, with the Super High Roller Bowl attracting the high rollers already and the 25K WSOP Draft being held last night, plenty of players in town are capable of ponying up the requisite five figures to play. An elusive gold WSOP bracelet and the honor of calling themselves the first 2018 WSOP bracelet winner at the end of the night should no doubt lure many of them in to try and start off their summer with a bang.
