You're Going to Give Moon a Heart Attack

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Over at Table 386, Ezra Abu Gazal opened for 24,000 under the gun and Scott Palmer called from the small blind. Richard Moon then announced that he was all in from the big for 528,000 total. It was a big three-bet, and Gazal seemed perplexed. He thought long and hard, seemingly tortured by the decision, and finally spiked a tower of chips on the table to signify a call. Palmer quickly folded.

"I've got 'em," Moon said.

"Aces?" Gazal asked as he tabled the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Indeed, Moon rolled over the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. Gazal got out of his chair as the ESPN cameras gathered around the table. He was clearly frustrated by the situation, but he perked up when the flop came down {4-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}.

"Great, always a sweat," Moon lamented as his opponent held the only spade. "Red."

The dealer obliged and put out the {8-Hearts}. "Red one more time," Moon pleaded. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {10-Hearts}. Moon's pocket rockets held, and he started patting his heart while breathing a big sigh of relief. Meanwhile, Gazal retook his seat and sent the vast majority of his stack over to Moon.

Meanwhile, Champie Douglas was eliminated in 281st place when his {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} failed to hold against the {a-Spades}{q-Spades} of Anh Van Nguyen when an ace spiked on the river.
