Kosakowski Folds Trips and Madsen Shows Ace High

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Scott Clements limped in on the button, Jeff Madsen completed from the small blind, and Gary Kosakowski checked his option in the big blind to bring about the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop. Action was checked by all three players, and the turn was the {2-Diamonds}. Madsen bet 60,000, Kosakowski called, and Clements folded.

The {5-Spades} was placed out on fifth street, and Madsen bet 177,000. Kosakowski took some time, then showed the {K-Hearts} and folded. Madsen showed {A-}{Q-}{8-}{3-} for just ace high, but his bet won him the pot and he moved back up to 1.34 million in chips. Kosakowski dropped back to 555,000.
