Kurnaz Picks Up Steam

Level 5 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Serkan Kurnaz has been the short stack in this match for quite some time but he just started to pick up some steam. Kurnaz raised from the button to 24,000 and Davide Suriano called from the big blind. The flop brought {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and both players checked.

On the turn the {9-Hearts} hit and the action was checked again. Suriano bet 25,000 on the river and Kurnaz called. Suriano showed {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts} but that was not enough against Kurnaz's {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

A few hands later, in the next level, Kurnaz raised to 32,000 and Suriano called. The flop brought {A-Spades}{4-Spades}{A-Hearts} and Suriano checked to Kurnaz who bet 22,000. Suriano check-raised to 50,000 and Kurnaz tanked for a bit before making it 84,000.

Suriano quickly folded and his big chip lead's starting to shrink.
