Fhima Stays Alive

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Kyle Bowker opened for 11,000 under the gun and Timo Pfutzenreuter called. Action then folded around to David Fhima in the small blind and he moved all in for 59,000. The big blind folded, Bowker called, and Pfutzenreuter got out of the way.

Fhima: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Bowker: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Bowker had been in a similar situation multiple times today, though he was the player with the better pair in those encounters. Even so, on more than one occasion the smaller pair found a set, so Bowker was hoping it was his turn to get lucky.

Unfortunately for him, that didn't happen as the board ran out a clean {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Fhima was pushed the pot.
