Jason Pritchard Sits on Top at Start of Day 2
Day 2 of Event #31: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em will be getting under way at 1 p.m. today, and we're very close to the bubble when action resumes.
1,631 players passed through registration for this event on Day 1, and that number has been whittled down to just 187. With 171 places scheduled to be paid, we're just 16 bustouts away from the money.
The prize pool in this event is over $2.2 million, and the top spot will earn $418,435 along with the highly-coveted WSOP gold bracelet.
An Australian is leading the pack as players return to continue play today. Jason Pritchard bagged up the most chips last night when he sealed away 142,400 to play with today. Not far behind him is Kyle Weir with 130,000 and just six others who tipped the 100K mark.
Many familiar faces entered this tournament on Day 1, and many of them did not survive until the end of Level 11 when play was halted for the day. Of those who are still in this game, notables include Nenad Medic, Erik Cajelais, Ray Qartomy, Alex Bolotin, Vinny Pahuja, Ankush Mandavia, Adam Levy, Lauren Kling, Matt Stout, Ty Reiman, Dan Idema, Max Pescatori, and Jackie Glazier.
The players will play through 10 levels today, or until a final table is reached, whichever happens first.
