Sklar Triples Then Doubles

Level 21

Limit Hold'em

Calvin Anderson raised from early position and Richard Sklar moved all in from the button for his last 12,000. Sergey Altbregin tagged along from the small blind and the three saw a flop of {8-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

Altbregin checked and Anderson fired into the side pot. Altbregin called and the the dealer put out the {8-Diamonds} on the turn. The action went check-check and the {7-Hearts} finished off the board. Both players checked again and the hands were tabled.

Altbregin showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} to best Anderson's {a-Spades}{10-Spades}. Sklar showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and his nines held as the best hand.

Two hands later, Sklar was all in against Glenn Cozen. The board read {K-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} when Sklar moved his last 6,000 into the middle and Cozen called. Sklar showed {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and was crushing Cozen's {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The board finished with the {q-Hearts} and the {7-Diamonds}, ensuring Sklar another double.
