Malzanini Wins One

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Hiren Patel had just moved his monster stack to the table in the big blind and called the raise to 6,500 from Julius Malzanini sitting under the gun. The flop came {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and both players checked. The turn {9-Spades} was checked down as well. And the {7-Spades} brought a bet of 8,500 from Patel which Malzanini quickly called.

"Ace-high," announced Patel.

Malzanini revealed {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} for ace-high as well, but his jack kicker must've made the difference, as Patel mucked.
