Day 2 of the Omaha Hi-Low Championship Sees Dan Kelly Lead Final 111
Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the 2014 World Series of Poker for Day 2 of Event #10: $10,000 Limit Omaha Hi-Low Championship!
Yesterday afternoon 178 players took to the felt to build a prize pool of $1,673,200 in the first Omaha Hi-Low tournament of the series, with the final 18 players scheduled to receive shares of that money. Ten levels was yesterday's plan, and once the call to bag and tag was announced, only 111 players would remain as the likes of Phil Ivey, Mike Matusow, David Benyamine, Gary Benson, Jeff Madsen, and Shawn Buchanan were just a handful of the players finding themselves on the rail throughout the day.
Leading the field into Day 2 is WSOP bracelet winner Dan Kelly who amassed an impressive 146,700-chip stack to sit just ahead of Jeff Williams who was the only other player above 140,000. Being one of the Championships for the series, the field is still stacked with notables as the likes of Daniel Negreanu (99,100), Nick Schulman (90,200), Scott Clements (83,800), Erik Seidel (65,200), Matthew Ashton (64,600), Jason Mercier (46,800), and Michael Mizrachi (35,200). Meanwhile Andy Bloch, Chris Bell, Barry Greenstein and Brian Hastings are all peddling short stacks.
