He's Got Soul

Level 11

Pot-Limit Omaha

Matthew Kaufman opened to 1,200 from middle position and his only caller was Fabrice Soulier from the button.

The flop brought {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Kaufman continued out for 1,600. Soulier called to see the {5c } fall on the turn. Kaufman slowed down with a check and Soulier bet 1,800. Kaufman came over the top for 4,500 total and Soulier replied by three-betting the rest of his stack for about 9,200 total.

"Nice hand," said Kaufman before flinging his cards into the muck.

Soulier was pushed the pot and tabled 75% of his hand- showing {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. A moment after the hand, someone inquired about what he showed and Soulier insisted he had showed king-eight-four but the rest of the table assured him that it was a queen and not a king. Soulier remained adamant that it was a king.

"Then you had king, queen, four, eight," someone chimed in from across the table which was met with a laugh.

Regardless of his hole cards, Soulier is now sitting on about 20,000 in chips while Kaufman has fallen to around 23,000.
