Small Makes a Great Read

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

Right at the Level 6 dinner break, an hour long on-and-off duel was being resolved between Sean Small and Blake Cahil. The players had been going back and forth all level, and Small ended up making an unbelievable read to scoop a vital pot.

Small was in position, and called his opponents 650 min-raise. The flop came:

Flop: {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Cahail min raised again, and small came over the top with a 950 and Cahail called.

The river came {8-Spades}, and Cahail checked. Small put in a bet of 1350 (just over 1/2 pot), and Cahail mucked into the Level 6 dinner break. Small calmly showed the {8-Clubs}{5-Spades} to pick up a 2800 pot .
