Owen Raises the River

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Dan Owen
Dan Owen

Dan Owen raised to 250,000 from under the gun, Maxx Coleman defended his big blind, and the flop fell {j-Spades}{a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Both players checked. The turn was a repeat deuce - the {2-Spades} - and Coleman led out for 370,000. Owen called.

The river was the {5-Diamonds}, Coleman led out for another 690,000, and Owen tanked for a bit before sliding out 1.4 million with two hands. Coleman looked shocked, shifting himself in his chair and shaking his head. A few minutes later, after an excruciating tank, Colemann plopped forward a stack of chips.

"Jacks full," someone on the rail blurted.

Indeed, Owen rolled over {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for jacks full of deuces, scooping the pot.
