Ahmed then admitted "I misread my hand I thought i had a seven low," and that mistake cost Ahmed an extra bet, and half of the pot.

From under the gun, Kristopher Tong limped in. Owais Ahmed raised on the button, Matthew Ashton called from the small blind, Mike Gorodinsky called from the big blind, and Tong called following his limp. That brought the four players to the flop, and Ashton checked. Gorodinsky also checked, as did Tong, before Ahmed fired a bet. Ashton raised, Gorodinsky and Tong folded, then Ahmed called.
