David "Bakes" Baker Eliminated in 10th Place ($14,404)

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
David "Bakes" Baker - 10th Place
David "Bakes" Baker - 10th Place

With his stack shortened after a few unsuccessful hands to start the day, David "Bakes" Baker raised his button and watched as Juha Helppi made it three bets to play. Danny Le came along for the ride, and Baker saw an opportunity to triple up, so he moved his last bet into the middle. Both Helppi and Le called, and the flop fell {q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Helppi led out for a bet and Le flatted, bringing the {6-Clubs} on the turn. The action repeated on fourth street, and when the {10-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Helppi fired a third barrel. Le folded his hand, and Baker stood to see that bad news. Helppi tabled the {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for top pair on the flop and a flush by the river, and Baker flashed the {A-Spades} before making his exit from the tournament floor.

With his 10th place finish here today, Baker notched his seventh cash at the 2013 World Series of Poker, and he just missed out on his fourth final table appearance of the summer.

Jon Seaman Eliminated in 11th Place ($10,940)

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Jon Seaman raised before the flop, and then called when Jeff Thompson made it three bets to play.

On the {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, Seaman check-raised Thompson's bet, and when the {j-Clubs} arrived on the turn he led out for his last few chips.

Thompson called with {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}, and he would need to catch on the river to eliminate Seaman, who tabled {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

River: {Q-Clubs}

With that, Seaman's tournament came to an abrupt end, and he headed for the payout desk with an 11th place finish.

Baker Gets Some Much Needed Chips

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Danny Le raised under the gun, and David "Bakes" Baker, who started the hand with just 40,000 in chips, three bet it. Le called, and the flop came {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Baker fired out, and Le called. The {9-Diamonds} hit the turn, and Baker fired again, leaving behind just one orange T5,000 chip. Le tanked for about 30 seconds before folding, and Baker took down the crucial pot.

Mattioda Doubles Through Warchol

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

On the very next hand, the betting was capped preflop between Paul Mattioda and Danny Warchol. The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, and the rest of Mattioda's small stack got in the middle.

Warchol: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Mattioda: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Mattioda was well out in front, but the {8-Hearts} on the turn gave Warchol flush draw outs. He couldn't get it though, as the {5-Clubs} came on the river, giving Mattioda the double up.

Watson Triples Up

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Mike Watson raised it up, and he was called by Paul Mattioda and Danny Warchol. The flop came down {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, and it was checked to Watson, who fired out. Mattioda called, then Warchol raised it up. Watsom got the rest of his chips in the middle, and both opponents called.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds}, and Mattioda check called a bet from Warchol. The river was the {7-Diamonds}, and Mattioda led right out. Warchol angrily flashed {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts} before folding, and Mattioda showed {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for a straight. It was no good though, as Watson showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} to get the full triple up.

Danny Le Takes the Crown from David Baker

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

David "Bakes" Baker raised his button before the flop, and Danny Le called to defend his big blind.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Le checked to Baker, who continued with a bet. Le made it two bets to play, however, and Bakes flatted to see the {k-Clubs} arrive on the turn. Both players checked fourth street, and the {4-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Baker bet it, and Le called while tabling the {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for top pair on the turn. Baker mucked quickly, and his stack took a sizable hit.

Jon Seaman Stays Afloat, Doubles Through Danny Le

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

With just a few bets left to his name, Jon Seaman called Danny Le's raise before the flop, and the dealer fanned the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} across the felt.

Le led out for a bet, and Seamn raised it up, leaving himself only a single bet behind. Le smooth called, and the turn came {10-Hearts}. Le then bet enough to put Seaman all in, and the short stack called off with {9-Spades}{2-Clubs} for bottom pair.

Le could only muster the {A-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for no pair and the lowest flush draw possible, but the {5-Clubs} on the river as a blank, and Seaman survived his all-in encounter.

Diamonds are Maria's Best Friend

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

David "Bakes" Baker raised it up under the gun, and he was called by Danny Le, Maria Ho, and Jeff Thompson. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, and it was checked to Baker, who bet out. Le called, and then Ho tossed out a check raise. Thompson folded, but both Baker and Le called to see the {4-Hearts} hit the turn.

This time Ho bet out, and Baker raised it up. Le cold called again, and Ho also called. The {9-Diamonds} hit the river, and Ho led out. Baker called, though he didn't look thrilled about it, and Le also called.

Ho rolled over {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for the nuts, and both players mucked. After that hand, Ho is up to 400,000, while Le is at 235,000, and Baker is down to just 140,000.
