Alaei and Kicking

Level 22 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Daniel Alaei moved all in for 100,000 from the hijack seat, Martin Jacobson called on the button, Phil Laak called out of the small blind, and Brandon Steven isolated, three-betting to 320,000 from the big blind. Neither Jacobson nor Laak called.

Alaei: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Steven: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Alaei was getting more than four-to-one in the coin-flip scenario, but received no help from the flop ({4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}). The {q-Spades} on the turn gave him eight more outs to double though, and he made a winning pair of jacks when the {j-Spades} completed the board.

Alaei more than quadrupled up to 470,000 chips, and now has more than five big blinds.
