Salzberg Out in 21st Place; Beauprez On Fire

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

John Beauprez has been on quite a rush. He just won two big hands.

The first was a huge pot. Beauprez raised to 21,000 and Jesse Yaginuma called. The flop came {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Beauprez bet 27,000 and Yaginuma called. {3-Clubs} on the turn and Beauprez bet 32,000. Yaginuma called again. The river was the {q-Hearts} and Beauprez pushed all in for 108,500. Yaginuma tanked but eventually called. Beauprez flipped up {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. Two pair was good enough and Beauprez.

The second hand was another good one which resulted in Matt Salsberg's elimination. Salsberg stuck his remaining 55,000 in and Beauprez snap called. The cards were:

Salsberg: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Beauprez: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and that did it for Salsberg. He had a great run but ultimately finished in 21st place. For Beauprez he has soared up the counts to over 400,000
