Imposing Force

For those who may not be familiar with Erik Cajelais, there are perhaps two reasons why players should fear him. Firstly he is extremely imposing physically as his tattoo clad body and giant arms dangle onto the felt. Secondly and more importantly, he has got game at the poker table.

Some of his results at the WSOP include a final table last year in the $1,500 No-Limit Holdem Shootout event. His record also boasts a WSOP Europe title, a WSOP runner-up finish in 2007 and that's not to mention host of other results around the world. His overall tournament winnings exceed $2.5 million.

We recently caught Cajelais in a hand. It all started when the player in the cut-off seat opened the action to 75. The player in the small blind made the call and it was on Cajelais in the big blind. It took him just a few moments to raise it up to 300. This seemed to really cause some agony to the player who opened, as he thought for over a minute. Eventually he folded and the small blind quickly made the call as the two remaining players would take a flop.

Flop: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

On the flop, the small blind opted to check and then instantly folded when Cajelais flicked out a bet. At this point Cajelais looked to the player in the cut-off seat and asked him, " You wanna see an ace or a queen?" His opponent didn't answer, but Cajelais made the decision for him, turning over an {a-Diamonds}.
