Hand #324: Better Kicker for Sylvia

Level 41 : 800,000/1,600,000, 200,000 ante

The button was on Greg Merson to start this hand. He folded, and Jesse Sylvia called from the small blind. Jake Balsiger checked his option in the big blind, and the flop came down {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts}. After Sylvia checked, Balsiger checked behind.

The turn was the {J-Hearts}, and Sylvia bet 2.6 million. Balsiger called. The river was the {6-Spades}, and Sylvia checked. Balsiger also checked.

Both players showed a pair of queens, but Sylvia's {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} out-kicked the {Q-Clubs}{3-Spades} for Balsiger, and he won the pot.
