Hinkle Five-Bet Shoves
Frederik Jensen was under the gun when he opened the pot to 1,100. The action then folded around to Blair Hinkle and he three-bet to 2,525. The play was then sent to Stewart Yancik in the big blind and he would four-bet to 5,600. Jensen opted to get out of the way and it was back on Hinkle. After much thought and looking at his opponent's stack (Yancik had around 25,000 behind), Hinkly decided to five-bet shove. Yancik didn't look too excited about this play, leaning back in his chair and even chuckling to himself once or twice. Eventually he thought better of it, letting his cards slide into the muck as Hinkle raked up the pot.
For those that aren't familiar with Hinkle, he took down his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet in 2008, winning more than $500,000 for a victory in a $2,000 no-limit hold'em event. Since then, Hinkle has amassed quite the tournament record, even managing to finish fourth place in Event 38: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em at this year's WSOP. Hinkle's winner interview from 2008 can be seen below.
