Sands Trapping
There was an under the gun open to 525 when David 'Doc' Sands raised to 1,225 in the next seat. Gavin Smith made the call from the big blind but the initial raiser four-bet to 3,225. Sands made it 5,225, Smith folded and the initial raiser dumped a 5,000 orange chip into the pot and turned over his cards to show pocket aces. Sands threw him a what are you doing type of look?
"I am all-in," said the initial raiser.
The floor was called and it was deemed that the motion of placing the orange 5k chip into the pot was a call.
"I am all-in in the dark then," said the initial raiser.
Sands had only a few chips behind and the flop was
"Call! I was trapping you," said Sands whilst turning over , "make sure you report the fact that I got it in good."
The turn gave Sands quads and then we had the meaningless on the river. Sands was back up to 15,000 chips.
